Reptiles:By Marara


What is a reptile? A reptile is an animal with scaly skin and a skeleton.

A reptile is cold blooded. This means that they cannot warm themselves from the inside. Instead they need the sun to warm their bodies. Many spend the cold months in a deep sleep called cold blooded and hibernation.

The four main groups of reptiles:
a. Crocodiles and alligators
B. tortoises and turtles
C. lizards and snakes

D. tuatara

    Thank you for sharing your understanding of what Reptiles are. You could have shown us some images of these cold blooded creatures and told us what could happen to them if they did not hibernate in winter.
